The Lime Preheater Rotary Kiln System:
The Lime Preheater Rotary Kiln is a state-of-the-art calcination system designed for producing high-quality active lime. It integrates three core components: a vertical shaft preheater, a rotary kiln, and a cooler. This system is widely recognized for its large production capacity, high product reactivity, fuel flexibility, and exceptional thermal efficiency—making it essential equipment in modern lime manufacturing.

Working Principle:
Limestone is first preheated to approximately 900°C in the vertical preheater using high-temperature exhaust gases (around 1150°C) from the rotary kiln. During this stage, the limestone undergoes 20–30% pre-decomposition before entering the rotary kiln for complete calcination. This "preheating + rotary" process design maximizes waste heat recovery, significantly reduces energy consumption, and enhances the reactivity of the final lime product.

Efficient Preheating: The vertical preheater utilizes kiln tail exhaust gases to preheat limestone, lowering exhaust gas temperatures to below 280°C while achieving a 20–30% pre-decomposition rate before the material enters the kiln.
Energy Saving & Environmental Protection: Advanced waste heat recovery and sealing technologies (such as scale seals with <10% air leakage) reduce system heat consumption to as low as 4,500–5,300 kJ/kg. When paired with baghouse dust collectors, emissions consistently meet environmental standards.
High-Quality Output: The system produces lime with high reactivity (300–380 ml) and stable chemical composition, ideal for demanding applications such as steelmaking and chemical processing.
Fuel Flexibility: Capable of utilizing a wide range of fuels, including pulverized coal, natural gas, coke oven gas, and low-calorific value gases.
