HBMER has always been committed to independent innovation in the field of steelmaking waste resource utilization, focusing on the efficient recycling of KR (Kambara Reactor) desulfurization slag—an underutilized waste in traditional steelmaking processes. Different from mainstream KR slag disposal solutions that focus on simple treatment or low-value reuse, our KR Slag Recovery Project (Hot Status) adopts a unique hot-state processing technology, realizing the high-value conversion of slag waste into usable industrial materials, which perfectly aligns with the global trend of circular economy and green steel production. Guided by the corporate spirit of "Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Win-Win", HBMER takes technological innovation and project quality as the core, providing customized, efficient and environmentally friendly KR slag recovery solutions for steel enterprises worldwide.
The HBMER KR Slag Recovery Project (Hot Status) is specially designed to reprocess and reuse the slag waste generated from the KR (Kambara Reactor) desulfurization process in steelmaking. Breaking the traditional pattern of regarding KR desulfurization slag as useless waste, our project relies on independent R&D technology to transform this industrial waste into high-value materials that can be widely used in various industrial fields, achieving both environmental protection and economic benefits. With rich engineering experience in industrial waste recycling, HBMER has formed mature project implementation capabilities, ensuring the stable operation and efficient output of each recovery project.
Project Core Process :
Unlike conventional KR slag processing that adopts cold-state crushing and sorting, our project adopts a hot-state processing mode, which maximizes the utilization of the inherent heat of the slag and avoids energy waste caused by cooling and reheating. The core process flow is customized and optimized by HBMER: hot KR slag (at a temperature of approximately 1,300℃ in liquid state) is directly transported to the water-cooled rotary kiln developed by us, where it undergoes targeted thermal processing and separation, ultimately realizing the efficient recovery of Fe metal and the high-value utilization of slag residues. This integrated hot-state processing mode not only simplifies the process but also improves the recovery efficiency and product quality.
The project has a stable processing capacity, with a normal input volume of 6~10 tons per day (tpd), which can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual KR slag output of the steel enterprise, ensuring perfect matching with the client’s production rhythm.
Core Technical Advantages:
HBMER’s KR Slag Recovery Project (Hot Status) has formed unique technical advantages through independent innovation, which are significantly different from mainstream KR slag recovery technologies in the market, focusing on high utilization rate, energy saving, emission reduction and cost control:
- Ultra-High Slag Utilization Rate: The project achieves a 90-95% utilization rate of KR slag, which is much higher than the industry average level of metallurgical slag utilization, realizing the near-total conversion of slag waste into valuable resources and minimizing waste emissions.
- Zero Landfill for Processed Slag: Through comprehensive reprocessing and high-value utilization, the processed KR slag completely eliminates the need for landfill, reducing the environmental pressure caused by slag stacking and avoiding the land occupation and secondary pollution problems of traditional slag disposal methods, in line with the steel industry’s solid waste comprehensive utilization requirements.
- Significant Energy Saving: Compared with the production of virgin materials, the project’s energy consumption is reduced by 60%, making full use of the inherent heat of hot slag to avoid energy waste, which is in line with the low-carbon and energy-saving development direction of the steel industry.
- Remarkable Emission Reduction Effect: Compared with conventional KR slag disposal methods, the project reduces CO₂ emissions by 70-80%, effectively helping steel enterprises reduce their carbon footprint and meet the global environmental protection and carbon reduction policy requirements, contributing to green industrial development.
