With rich engineering experience, HBMER has successfully completed more than 10 EPC projects for metal magnesium smelting plants (equipped with horizontal reduction furnaces), along with over 20 renovation projects and several full-process segmented EPC projects (see some metal magnesium smelting plant cases in the table below). Working Principle:
The horizontal reduction furnace adopts an external heating, horizontal retort design for magnesium smelting. Under high temperature (1200–1250 °C) and high vacuum (≤10 Pa), calcined dolomite is reduced by ferrosilicon to produce magnesium vapor, which is then condensed into crude magnesium. The horizontal structure ensures uniform heating and stable reaction conditions for high‑quality magnesium output.
